Dr. Junlu Jiang

Dr. Junlu Jiang is the Director and Chief Partner of Beijing Puran Law Firm. His practice areas cover labor and social security law, corporate compliance investigations, and the establishment of compliance systems. He currently serves as Legal Advisor to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, Member of the Expert Committee on Civil and Administrative Litigation Supervision of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Member of the Beijing Municipal Committee Legal Expert Pool, Advisor on Rule of Law Construction to the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress, Council Member for the China Judicial Region of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, Member of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law (Geneva), Director of the Labor and Social Security Law Committee of the All China Lawyers Association, Vice President of the Social Law Research Association of the China Law Society, and Director of the Labor Dispute Resolution Committee of the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association. He also serves as a visiting professor at Peking University and several other institutions of higher learning. In 1992 and 2001, he successively obtained his Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws, and Doctor of Laws degrees from Renmin University of China Law School and Peking University Law School.

Dr. Jiang entered the legal profession in 1994 and served as Vice President of the Eighth Beijing Bar Association and as a Member of the Eleventh Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He participated in the legislative work of the Labor Law of the People's Republic of China and served as the Lead of the Research Group on the Labor Contract Law under the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council. He previously served as a partner at King & Wood Mallesons and now leads the labor law practice and research at Puran Law Firm, and is involved in handling labor dispute arbitrations and cross-border employment compliance matters. He has been listed in the International Who's Who of Professionals, and has received honors including Outstanding Lawyer of Beijing, One of the Top 100 Outstanding Communist Party Members of Beijing, and the "Selfless Dedication Award" from the All China Lawyers Association. In 2021, he led his team to participate in the legal services of the Chaoyang District Public Service Center for "Swift Response to Public Complaints," handling legal claims related to labor and employment disputes.
